Amajor component of Dubai Watch Week surrounds the various Seddiqi-exclusive limited editions that the participating brands release at the Middle East’s premier horology show. The first of the two new Seddiqi-edition models is the Hublot Big Bang All Black Ahmed Seddiqi 75th Anniversary (ref.431.CI.1340.RX.SDQ25), and just as its name suggests, the Swiss replica Hublot watches feature and entirely blacked-out aesthetic that extends throughout its case, dial, and strap. Micro-blasted black ceramic is used for the various components of its case, while its crown, pushers, and H-shaped connecting screws are all crafted from black-finished titanium. Despite its subdued monochromatic appearance, the Big Bang All Black Ahmed Seddiqi 75th Anniversary will be the more exclusive model of the pair of new Seddiqi-exclusive watches, and it will be produced as a limited edition of just 10 pieces.
The dial of the Hublot Big Bang All Black Ahmed Seddiqi 75th Anniversary follows the same fundamental layout as the Big Bang 20th Anniversary watches that serve as its foundation, and it features a two-register layout with a 4:30 date window. Similarly, the surface of the dial showcases the same checkerboard-style “Carbon Effect” finish across its surface; however, the applied hour markers at the even-number values appear as large Eastern Arabic numerals, with matching Eastern Arabic numbers used for both the date display and within the chronograph sub-dial. To maintain its “All Black” aesthetic, the satin-finished hands and various dial elements all embrace a black tone-on-tone color palette, and completing the best fake Hublot watches are a black textured rubber strap with a folding clasp made from black-finished titanium and black ceramic.
The other member of the duo of new Seddiqi-edition watches are the Hublot Big Bang Titanium Grey Ahmed Seddiqi 75th Anniversary (ref. 431.NO.4280.RX.SDQ25), and despite being a limited edition of 25 pieces (and therefore the less exclusive model), I personally find it to be the more interesting expression of this aesthetic concept. While the model has “Titanium Grey” in its name and comes equipped with a gray textured rubber strap, it actually embraces a two-tone aesthetic, with brushed and polished titanium forming its case and 18k King Gold used for its crown, pushers, and the H-shaped screws that secure its titanium case components.
With that in mind, even “two-tone” might be a slightly inaccurate description, and the “Titanium Grey” version of the best selling clone Hublot Big Bang Ahmed Seddiqi 75th Anniversary watches actually exhibit more of a three-tone appearance, with its central case section finished black to match the black rubberized grips on its winding crown and chronograph pushers. Similarly, the dial largely adheres to a two-tone aesthetic, with rose gold-finished hands and Eastern Arabic numeral hour markers set against a gray surface adorned with the same “Carbon Effect” motif as its “All Black” sibling. However, the calendar disc is rendered in black with rose gold-colored Eastern Arabic numerals to mirror the three-tone aesthetic of its case.
Both of the Hublot Big Bang Ahmed Seddiqi 75th Anniversary watches are powered by the brand’s in-house UNICO Caliber HUB1280 automatic chronograph movement, which runs at a frequency of 28,800vph (4 Hz) with a 72-hour power reserve. Hublot’s UNICO chronograph movements offer flyback functionality, although 1:1 quality fake Hublot (rather curiously) watches rarely emphasize this detail in its various marketing materials. Additionally, to further set these double-anniversary models apart from the standard Big Bang 20th Anniversary models, their Caliber HUB1280 movements are furnished with oscillating weights made from solid 22k 4N gold, which are engraved with Ahmed Seddiqi’s 75th anniversary logo.
Watches with Eastern Arabic numerals have historically been reserved for region-exclusive models, and given that the high quality replica Hublot Big Bang Ahmed Seddiqi 75th Anniversary watches feature solid gold oscillating weights engraved with Seddiqi’s anniversary logo, you can virtually guarantee that you will not find them at any other retailer.
